Lead Awareness Training

This course will help members and employees recognize where lead is found in the workplace, the occupational hazards and health effects of lead exposure, and the responsibilities that you and your employer have to minimize lead exposure while on the job.

When you have completed this course you will be able to:

• Identify the characteristics of lead and how it is used
• Identify lead sources and the hazards of lead exposure
• Recognize potential health effects from exposure to lead
• Recognize the symptoms of lead poisoning
• Understand how a hierarchy of controls can minimize your exposure
• Understand your responsibility to protect yourself
