The An Introduction to Privately Manufactured Firearms course provides learners with the tools to identify and respond to privately manufactured firearms (PMFs), including three-dimensionally (3D) printed and assembled weapons. Learners will be able to recognize PMFs, handle related evidence, and consider the legal implications of firearms made outside traditional regulations. The course emphasizes the detection of firearms that may appear unconventional to address emerging threats to public safety and illegal firearm trafficking.

- Discuss the officer’s legal authorities related to prohibited and privately manufactured firearms as per the Criminal Code (1985).
