Free Learning Event: Forensic Evidence Collection

Forensic Evidence Collection is offered as a free Learning & Evaluation event until September 30, 2011. All Canadian police and law enforcement personnel are invited to participate in this free introductory period which is sponsored by the Police Sector Council.

Developed in collaboration with the RCMP’s National Forensic Services, Forensic Evidence Collection will provide frontline personnel a comprehensive overview of handling, shipping, and health and safety issues associated with forensic evidence.

This four hour, introductory level course is designed for police and law enforcement officers who may be involved in investigations involving forensic evidence. While it is certainly an effective training resource for new personnel, it may also serve as a useful reference or refresher for more experienced officers.

As part of the Learning & Evaluation period, all learners registered to the course are asked to complete a brief survey to provide feedback on their learning experience. At the end of the free access period, all feedback is compiled into a report which is made available to sector stakeholders. All learner information and feedback will remain anonymous.
