CPKN Launches New Website and Discussion Forum

CPKN has launched a new and improved website at www.cpkn.ca. The new site design provides visitors with dramatic improvements in navigation, appearance, and accessibility.

In addition to enhanced catalogue listings and more information about CPKN’s services, development processes, and pricing structure, this site features a new e-learning discussion forum for trainers, developers, and managers in the Canadian law enforcement sector.

“This new forum will be the community of practice in e-learning,” says Bill Gibson, the forum moderator. “This is a virtual extension of the Stanhope Conference where the law enforcement community can connect and engage on a wide variety of e-learning issues including the challenges, solutions, and elements of a successful online learning program.”

The new website also features new ways for the CPKN network to keep informed on CPKN activities. Visitors can now subscribe to an RSS newsfeed or the quarterly newsletter to ensure they get regular updates from CPKN. Other social media platforms are expected to be added in future.

“This is just another way we’re working to meet the needs of the sector,” says Sandy Sweet, CPKN President. “Above all, it’s the ‘network’ in CPKN that drives the model. These tools will enhance communication with and within Canada’s police training community.”
