MPUR: Missing Children Level One Investigator
- Course Category:
Over the course of a year, the largest portion of missing person reports involves children. Every missing child case is different - some may be outright abductions while others may be instances of children simply wandering off. Regardless of this situation, every investigation involves a variety of roles and responsibilities for the investigator or police agency.
MPUR: Missing Children Level One Investigator is designed to enhance the knowledge of investigators in missing children investigations. In addition to reviewing the various stages of an investigation and the associated roles of the investigator, this course provides information on the role of the National Centre for Missing Persons and Unidentified Remains (NCMPUR) during an investigation and the services NCMPUR provides to assist investigators.
On completion of this course, you will be able to:
- Define the term missing child
- Recall the stages within the life cycle of a missing child investigation
- Recall the role of the police agency/investigator throughout the life cycle of a missing child investigation
- Recall the role and services of the NCMPUR throughout the life cycle of a missing child investigation
This is an introductory level course designed for any police officer or investigator.
